In the recent past, there has been an increased response from Muslims to the gospel, resulting in many converting to Christianity. However, churches have not given adequate attention to the discipleship of Christian Believers from Muslim Backgrounds (BMB). Yet, the focus of the Great Commission (Matt 28:18–20) is to evangelize and make disciples. This study investigated factors affecting discipleship among Christian Believers from Muslim Backgrounds in selected Baptist churches in Kampala District, Uganda. The research provides helpful information on the church leaders' perception of Islam and Muslims, discipleship practices, church discipleship structure, and church resources for the discipleship of Christian believers from Muslim backgrounds. The qualitative research reveals a negative perception of the pastors and the church leaders about Islam and Muslims, the lack of inclusion of Muslims in the church vision for the Great Commission, and the lack of discipleship practices, structure, and resources for the BMBs' discipleship.Downloads
